Executive Team:

Dr. Olga Shenderova (founder)

President, CTO

Olga has worked >20 years in the field of diamond, published about 200 scientific papers, edited 5 books and is an inventor on more than 20 patents. She is actively involved in developing the field of nanodiamonds, the material she is most passionate about, by organizing national and international symposia. In the past she was a champion in track-and-field in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

Dr. Gary McGure (founder)

Director of Business Development

CEO and founder of the mother non-profit research organization, ITC (1999-current). Works with nanodiamonds since 2004, >120 scientific papers, >50 invited talks; 7 patents on nanodiamonds.

Dr. Kevin Smith

Director of Marketing

Kevin is a 30-year High Tech product development and marketing veteran at Fortune 500 companies Tektronix and JDSU. At JDSU he successfully led technical teams to grow business by over 100%, introduced new technologies and products accounting for over $100M of product sales.

Mary Eberle

Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, Corporate Secretary

Mary is responsible for the management of finance, contracts and grants, procurement, customer service, and human resources. With over 20 years of experience with contracts and grants, she has been fundamental to Adámas since its inception in 2010. Eberle holds a BA from NC State University.

Technical & Administrative Team:

Nicholas Nunn

Production Manager

Nicholas graduated from the Materials Science and Engineering Department of North Carolina State University in the Spring of 2014, and had previously joined Adámas in 2013. He is responsible for implementing scalable production procedures for various products as well as establishing procedures for quality control, product characterization, and product technical documentation. Dr. Marco Torelli

Chemist, Head of Life Sciences Group

Marco currently directs life science-related research at Adamas. He earned a bachelors in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and then went on to receive his doctorate in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, with a research focus on the environmental interactions of nanomaterials. Currently he is overseeing research related to development of optical sensors for radical oxygen species as well as the use of plasma chemistry for novel materials functionalization.

Victoria Panasenko

Chemist

Victoria Panasenko graduated from Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University with MS in chemical engineering (diploma cum laude). She worked for 17 years in industry as an engineer-technologist where she was responsible for analytical chemistry characterization and the pollution control in industrial and civil environments. She joined Adamas’s team in 2023, where she is responsible for production of various nanodiamond products, quality control and product characterization, and preparing orders for shipping.
